2 Week Update

Yesterday we reached the 2 week mark of having Emma. We are all doing well. Jamie and I are quite tired, the boys are still excited to hold her and kiss her, and Emma is thriving. She really is a good baby.

This was the first night in the hospital. The strange thing is that I can no longer use the term "my boys" and refer to the rest of my family.

Emma was five days old when Josie came to do her first photo shoot.

She got some good ones!

This is our sunbathing beauty. She had a touch of jaundice and needed to spend some time in the sun to help her through it. Thankfully that was enough to take care of it.
Unlike her big brother, Jacob, that had to in a baby tanning bed to get rid of his jaundice.

They can't get enough of her.

She already looks so different. It's amazing what 2 short weeks will do. Two weeks ago I was pregnant, I only had two kids, and they were boys, and I had no idea how much I would love having a daughter (that has already joined me on two shopping trips).

Emma

She finally made it! Emma was born on March 15th. She weighed in at 7 lbs 1 0z and is 21" long.

She is perfect!

Everything went well. I was induced so the labor took a little longer than I would have liked, but still not bad.
We had a good couple of days at the hospital that were a nice balance between visitors and resting.

We are home now and the boys are excited to have baby sister around, we'll see how long that lasts. I'm excited to not be pregnant any more and that I have this beautiful little love that I get to stare at in amazement and snuggle all day.

Welcome to the Kingdom, princess!

Still no baby

But you get more from my shoot with Josie.

And yes, I'm already a little annoyed with my daughter for her unwillingness to cooperate. I'll admit, I thought it would have taken longer to get to that point.

Days before ...

Josie is taking a photography class and I get to benefit! She came over and took a few pictures to document my final days. I have a new appreciation for good lighting and good angles!
